A local woman was injured Sunday afternoon when her vehicle was hit on state Route 301 in Spencer Township.
An 18-year-old Sullivan Township man was northbound on Route 301 when he crossed left of center in his Ford Escape and struck the southbound Ford Fiesta driven by the 46-year-old Spencer woman at about 4 p.m. Sunday, Ohio Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Kehoe said.
“He said he was looking off to his left and didn’t realize he was drifting over the yellow line as a vehicle was coming,” Kehoe said.
Kehoe said the woman sustained a broken wrist in the crash.
“I think she is still a waiting the results from a couple more tests. As far as I know, as of right now, she sustained a broken wrist,” he said Monday afternoon.
The teenager sustained a few cuts to his head, but no life-threatening injuries, Kehoe said.
Kehoe said the 18-year-old was cited for left of center.
