BRUNSWICK — A Cleveland man is facing several felony charges for allegedly fleeing a drug bust last month.
On March 7 at 2:55 p.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle involved in an alleged drug transaction in the 3330 block of Center Road before it fled northbound onto Interstate 71.
Cruisers chased the vehicle to the area of West 117th Street and Lorain Road, but stopped the pursuit when it entered residential areas.
Detectives from Brunswick police and agents from the Medina County Drug Task Force later identified Markquice Donner, 27, as the driver.
Brunswick police announced Tuesday that Donner was recently indicted on charges of felony fleeing, trafficking in cocaine, and trafficking in fentanyl.
“This was a joint investigation with our Division of Police as well as the Medina County Drug Task Force and during the investigation, the Drug Task Force purchased narcotics from Mr. Donner,” Lt. Robert Safran said.
“During that process, our marked units that were in the area attempted to stop him and he fled in a vehicle.”
Donner’s criminal history includes several drug trafficking charges, robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, and receiving stolen property
