Troopers investigating Penfield Township crash (UPDATED)

State troopers are responding to a crash involving a semi in Penfield Township.

First responders were called to the two-vehicle crash on State Route 18 just west of Vermont Street around 11:15 a.m. According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, a semi-trailer was traveling east when it rear-ended a Ford Ranger, and both trucks went off the road.

The driver of the semi was taken to Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital. The driver of the Ranger was uninjured, troopers said.

The names of those involved were not immediately available.
