Tickets will be available at the Brunswick athletic office, which can be reached at (330) 273-0496. Cost is $40 and payment can be made to the Brunswick Athletic Foundation.

McDaniel: McDaniel was an All-America cross country runner in 1996 and ’97 for Malone University. In high school, he earned All-Ohio honors with a 13th-place finish at the 1992 D-I state cross country meet and added another All-Ohio award in the spring of 1993 as a member of the 4x800 relay.

Klaehn: Klaehn was the D-I state runner-up in the 300 hurdles as a junior in 2003 and placed fifth in the event as well as the 100 as a senior. She had a decorated career at Ashland University, where she was a D-II All-American in the 100 hurdles in 2006, ’08 and ’09 and a four-time indoor All-American between the 60 hurdles (2008, ’09) and long jump (2008, ’09).

Gribble: The 5-foot-10, 160-pounder rewrote Medina County receiving records as a senior in 2007 with 96 receptions for 1,579 yards and 19 touchdowns. All three marks still stand. Gribble also holds county career records for receiving yards (2,086) and TDs (26) and is second with 129 catches. Gribble was among the county RBI leaders as a junior and batted .424 as a senior.

Knerem: After waiting behind Medina County Sports Hall of Famer Amanda Macenko, Knerem dominated as a pitcher in 2007-08. The right-hander was 35-8 with 560 strikeouts over 289 innings as a junior and senior and led Brunswick to the 2008 University of Akron Regional. Knerem then broke Ashland University records for wins (95), innings (834 ⅔), appearances (11) and saves (11) and was a two-time All-American and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year. Knerem is currently in her second season as Eagles head coach.

Koshar: Koshar has coached the Blue Devils for 21 seasons and mentored four of the school’s five state champions, most recently Logan Heil (2019) and Nick Kiusis (2017). Brunswick has had 24 state placers during his tenure after producing only 18 from 1972-98.

1998 boys track and field: Medina County Sports Hall of Famer Dave Harris won the 100- and 200-meter dashes in 10.97 and 21.85 and Chris Stanwyck took the pole vault by three inches at 14 feet, 9 inches to account for all of the Blue Devils’ 30 points. Coach Dave Johnson’s team tied with Westerville.

2007 football: Already a part of the Medina County Sports Hall of Fame, coach Rich Nowak’s squad won 13 consecutive games before falling to Mentor in the state semifinals. Led by first-team All-Ohioans Sean Bedevelsky and Gribble, the Blue Devils averaged 31.7 points and won the loaded Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division.
