MEDINA — Four people pleaded not guilty to cocaine possession charges Thursday in Medina County Common Pleas Court.

Trials for Jeff Rees, 53, of Nova, and Nathaniel Reed, 20, of Medina, are scheduled for Nov. 27 on the fifth-degree felony counts. Janet Truden, 60, of Medina, has a trial scheduled for Nov. 28, and Rocco Rodriquez, 38, of Brunswick, for Nov. 29.

Rees, Reed, Truden and Rodriquez are among about a dozen individuals who were arrested last week on possession charges stemming from a multi-agency drug investigation.

Seventeen other people were indicted on federal charges. They are accused of purchasing cocaine, cooking the drug into crack cocaine and selling it around Medina County.

An 18-month investigation involving several agencies, including the Medina County Drug Task Force, resulted in the seizure of more than 37 pounds of cocaine, $516,975 in cash, a tractor-trailer, five other vehicles and five firearms.

Also arrested on drug possession charges were Alan Alcorn, 47, of Medina, and Chris Camiolo, 44, of Strongsville. They pleaded not guilty to charges Monday before Common Pleas Judge Christopher J. Collier, and their trials are scheduled for Dec. 20.

Jerald Brasty, 53, of Liverpool Township, has an arraignment hearing scheduled for Monday in Collier’s court on a cocaine possession charge.

Truden and Rodriquez were released Thursday from Medina County Jail after posting bond. Camiolo also has posted bond, and Alcorn was released on bond.

Reed, who was convicted of theft in 2016 in Medina County, is being held at the jail on $25,000 cash bond.

Truden and Rodriquez both have prior traffic convictions in Medina Municipal Court, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Alcorn has prior convictions in Medina County, including two counts of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, drug abuse, escape, robbery and traffic violations.

Camiolo was convicted of drug possession in 2009 in Cuyahoga County. He has no prior convictions in Medina County courts.
