MEDINA — As the struggle against substance abuse continues to grow, Bellefaire JCB’s executive director said his facility has the resources to help.
It opened its latest facility Friday at 807 E. Washington St., Suite 150, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. It now has three locations in Medina County, including 524 Broad St., Wadsworth, and 201 Mill St., Lodi.
Jeffrey A. Lox, executive director, said the main office is in Shaker Heights.
There are also facilities in Lorain and Summit counties.Wingspan Care Group is the not-for-profit parent company of Bellefaire JCB.
It offers behavioral health services, substance abuse treatment, outpatient counseling, school-based services and psychiatry services.
“We serve about 22,000 individuals and families,” Lox said. “There’s no shortage of people that suffer from mental health issues. People that come here have drawn the short straw.
“We offer a full array of community-based behavioral health services.
“We hope to help a lot of people in the community. The people we serve are incredibly important to us. Our job is to help people do well.”
Lox said the Medina facility will employ about 20 in its workforce, ranging from therapists, counselors and office staff. He said that number could grow, if needed.
