MEDINA — Catholic Charities’ emergency food shelf has received a check for more than $8,000 from the 100+ Women Who Care Medina group last month.
The members of the 100+ Women Who Care Medina selected the charity recipient during their April meeting. Catholic Charities’ emergency food shelf offers food assistance and requires no proof of income.
“We are truly grateful to 100+ Women Who Care Medina for selecting Catholic Charities,” said Michelle Kipfstuhl, director of Catholic Charities Community Services Medina said in a statement.
“Although there are many food pantries in Medina County, location, hours, transportation or documentation required can all be barriers for someone needing help. We see many young families, senior citizens, and individuals struggling with health costs visiting our food shelf. “
The charity provides professional and social services to those in need regardless of a person’s beliefs and are located at 4210 N. Jefferson St. For more information, call (330) 723-9615.
100+ Women Who Care Medina is a philanthropic group that donates large amounts of funding to Medina County charitable organizations. The mission is to reach out and help the community by organizing at least 100 women to contribute $100 quarterly as individuals or teams with the focus being to help locally.
