MEDINA — The 173rd edition of the Medina County Fair will offer a variety of paid and free entertainment July 30 to Aug. 5.
Tickets are available online at medina-fair.com, and can be printed out or scanned from a phone for entry. Tickets also will be available at the gate.
Preferred parking will be available in lots off West Smith Road, the horse arena and the Medina County Community Center let. Preferred parking tickets are $50, good for the entire week and can be purchased by calling the fair office at (330) 723-9633.
The deadline to submit entries to this year’s Medina County Fair is July 20.
The deadline to enter the 3-on-3 double-elimination basketball tournament also is July 20. Teams consist of three to five players. Groups include men and women 18 and under, 19-40 and 41 and over. Entry fee is $50 per team.
Games will be played at the west end of the Medina County Community Center:
- July 30, 41 and over;
- July 31, 19-40;
- Aug. 1, 18 and under.
Prizes will be awarded for each bracket winner. Entry forms and rules are at the fair office, 720 W. Smith Road, and medina-fair.com.
Instead of the traditional bakery auction, prices will be assigned to all baked goods and they will be available for purchase. The bakery sale will begin at 6 p.m. Aug. 2.
Reduced admission days
- July 30, all past and current military members admitted for free all day with identification;
- July 30, $3 admission until 3 p.m.;
- Aug.,1, Youth Day, children age 11 and younger admitted for free until 5 p.m.;
- Aug. 5, all first responders admitted for free with ID for First Responders Day. Admission also will be $5 for anyone who brings a nonperishable food item.
