The annual Not-Forgotten Box toy drive continues. The Medina Gazette in partnership with the Salvation Army of Medina has teamed up with one goal in mind: To make sure no child feels forgotten on Christmas morning.
The Gazette’s sister paper, The Chronicle-Telegram, started the outreach effort in 1958, and the community’s support for it each year was such a success the initiative expanded to Medina in 2009.
This year’s aim is to help at least 250 families with gifts for children and food for the holiday season.
The Salvation Army with a team of volunteers will assemble gift packages for families to pick up on Dec. 19 — just in time for Christmas.
Donations for this drive are accepted at the Salvation Army Medina, 425 West Liberty St. The deadline for donations is Dec. 14.
