Black Friday has been a day where people can get red hot deals. Many people still choose to shop despite crowded stores and long lines.
“Yes,” said Medina resident Ria Richardson excitedly when asked if she participated in Black Friday
She said that her favorite store on this day is Target. Richardson and her friends made their way to the gazebo to take some pictures in between Black Friday errands.
“Interacting with people and their families” is her favorite part of Black Friday, said Richardson.
She and her friend Max Argani, who was visiting from out of town, said that they usually look for things like technology or other items that are typically more expensive.
The parking lots in front of businesses on Pearl Road in Medina were packed and nearly every spot near the square was taken as people raced to get Black Friday deals, stopped for food and took a break to get fall photos.
Brian Papesh from Solon said, “We don’t go out and if we do go, it’s usually later in the day. We don’t wake up early to go.”
While many might enjoy the adrenaline, excitement, the savings and the general experience that Black Friday will bring, it’s not something that everyone enjoys.
Natalie Arnold, a former Medina resident who was back in town for Thanksgiving, said that she does not like it because of the long lines and the fact that it’s too busy.
She also added that she doesn’t have the time to go.
“Usually I’m working and I can get deals on Amazon at the same time,” Arnold said.
