MEDINA — A new development at the Medina Shopping Center has its first tenant.
The retail space welcomed Aspen Dental to Medina and the dental provider celebrated Friday with a ribbon-cutting.
“This is the first business in the new redevelopment of the Medina Shopping Center,” said Kimberly Marshall, Medina’s economic development director. “Thanks for your investment.”
While some people dread going to the dentist, Aspen Dental’s motto is “simply easier.”
Dr. Florin Florian, Aspen’s main clinical director, said seeing a dentist shouldn’t be something people dread. Florian said Aspen has “patient-friendly” hours. He said they not only treat patients in the evening, but also on weekends.
“We accept walk-ins and emergency cases,” he said. “Everyone is welcome. We take care of every patient like it’s our own mother.”
The Aspen Dental office at 941 N. Court St. opened Nov. 1. Florian said there are almost 700 Aspen Dental offices in the United States.
There are seven employees at the office, including a lab technician and hygienist. There are seven exam rooms.
“We have no charge for new patient exams, which includes X-rays,” said Ally Wuorinen, new operations manager. “If you don’t have a coupon, it could cost $500 to see what needs to be done.”
Florian said he wants patients to practice good oral hygiene and maintain good oral health.
“We try to educate and empower our patients,” he said.
Aspen offers an Invisalign aligner/retainer for $3,995.
The dental office received a proclamation from Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof, R-Montville Township, and a certificate of accommodation from Secretary of the State Jon Husted.
The office is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. It’s also open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. one or two Saturdays per month.
The office phone number is (330) 241-4645, option 2.
