HINCKLEY TWP. — A 79-year-old North Royalton woman received no injuries after crashing her car into the CVS Pharmacy, 9 W. 130th St., Wednesday morning.

Hinckley Township Fire and Rescue was dispatched to CVS at about 10 a.m. Wednesday after a red 2018 Toyota Corolla jumped the curb and slammed into the side wall of the building.

Marion Mueller, 79, of North Royalton, said she was driving to CVS after her morning workout to pick up some candy for her husband. She said she was worried about getting too close to the raised curb because she didn’t want to scrape the underside of her car.

She told authorities she intended to hit the brakes, but the vehicle surged forward and went into the side of the building. There is no estimate to the damage of the building, the store manager said.

Inside the drug store, the west wall was caved in and cosmetics were knocked all over the aisle. No one inside the store was hurt. The manager closed the store for several hours Wednesday.

No citation was issued at the scene.
