CLEVELAND — After the death of cleveland.com arts and culture reporter Nikki Delamotte, the Cleveland arts and journalism communities are coming together this week to celebrate her life.

Delamotte, 30, was found dead in Perrysburg in Wood County on Sunday, the victim of an apparent murder-suicide.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to benefit her mother Jo (and her cat), her boyfriend Bob (and their cats, Phoebe Lee and Bailey). All money raised from this account will be spent first on memorial services and then on whatever Jo and Bob need to care for themselves and their cats.

A candlelight vigil to honor Nikki’s life will be 6:30 p.m. today at Edgewater Park near the script Cleveland sign, on the west side of the upper side of the park. Bundle up and bring a candle.

An in-person fundraiser and raffle will take place from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday at The Side Quest, 17900 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood. In addition to a silent auction and benefit raffle, with all proceeds going to Jo and Bob, the bar also is donating 15 percent of sales to the family.

An open mic will be set up for anyone wishing to speak or share memories and stories of Nikki.

Raffle donations may be dropped off at Coven, 1384 Bonnieview, Lakewood, between noon and 9 p.m. today.

Raffle sponsors include: Coven, Lake Witch, MUSIC SAVES, Fear’s Confections, Tangled Earth Arts, Venus In Aquarius Apothica, C. M. Manfredi’s Emporium of Wonders, A Christmas Story House, STAR POP vintage + modern, Clover & Moon, On The Rise Artisan Breads and Angela Oster.
