After more than 20 years, Eli’s Kitchen closed its doors at the end of February.
The restaurant was located at 115 Public Square in Medina. A deli-style restaurant is moving into that space, but things have not yet been finalized.
“We’re very close,” Pete Nepodal said. “Check back next week.”
Nepodal is a board member of the Odd Fellows, which owns the space.
The new tenants are replacing the flooring and doing several other renovations, according to the city of Medina Building Department.
“We don’t have any details about the future of the space right now as no permit or occupancy application has been submitted to the city,” said Jonathan Mendel, city community development director.
Eli Fayad, who has owned Eli’s Kitchen since 1997, could not be reached Friday.
