BRUNSWICK HILLS TWP. — A family has been displaced after a garage fire on Northfork Way.

The Brunswick Hills Fire Department responded to a call from residents of the house at 6:18 p.m.

“The occupants of the home were home at the time and discovered the fire in the garage,” Brunswick Hills Fire Chief Anthony Strazzo said. “We don’t have a cause yet.”

The American Red Cross will help the occupants — two adults and four minors — find a place to stay and provide clothes and other resources.

“The primary amount of the fire damage is contained to the garage,” Stazzo said. “There is smoke damage inside the house.”

Brunswick city, Valley City and Hinckley fire departments assisted in extinguishing the blaze.
