Margaret Celia (Gravenstreter) Klinect was born in Lorain County, to the late John H. and F. Irene (Miller) Gravensteter and grew up in Medina County.
She attended eight grades at Litchfield School and her high school years were at York High School, where she graduated in 1950. Majoring in business subjects, "Margie" worked at the Old Phoenix National Bank in Medina and the Medina County Bank in Valley City. She was a realtor/appraiser and was associated with the real estate firms of Rahrig Realty in LaGrange, Gordy Hales Real Estate in Elyria and Realty One offices in Elyria.
She met and married Elwin Lee (Jake) Klinect (deceased) of Belden on October 18, 1952. Loving the country, Jake and Margie owned a farm in Grafton Township. She was a 4-H advisor, bowled in the Two Timers league in Grafton, served several years as the "Lion Tamer" in the LaGrange Lions Club, was a Senior Outreach Volunteer through North Ridgeville Senior Center and was active in other community organizations. She was a member of the LaPorte United Methodist Church, member of the Medina FOE 2224 Auxiliary and a former member of the Black River Game Club. She and Jake did a lot of traveling: Panama Canal, Hawaiian Islands and numerous cruises as well as motor trips within the U.S. Bingo and slots were also favorites.
Surviving are two sons, Johnnie Lee (Karen) of North Eaton and David Arthur (Nancy) of Pataskala, Ohio. Survivors also include five grandsons, Michael Patrick of Michigan, Brian James of Stow, Alan Scott and Jason Dean of Pataskala and Anthony Ward of Michigan and a sister, Alice Irene Smith also survives.
Private services were handled by the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton. Interment was in the family plot in the Mallet Creek Cemetery in York Township, Medina County.
