Gloria Dawn Daniels, 88, of Lodi, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at The Avenue at Medina, following a period of declining health. She was born February 16, 1929 in Mansfield, to Linville and Mildred (Yosey) Frary.
She attended Madison High School in Mansfield and later worked at Dominion Electric and J.C. Penney in Mansfield. She married James Daniels on July 25, 1971 and had resided in Lodi ever since. Gloria worked as a floral designer at the Medina and Wadsworth Beuhler's Floral Shops. She was a member of the Lodalia Garden Club and was a life member of the Ashland VFW and AMVETS. She was also a member of the Ashland Moose and Lodi American Legion Auxiliary. She was a wonderful singer, going back to her younger days performing with local bands in Mansfield. She loved roses, performing karaoke, camping and traveling to West Virginia and Pennsylvania and wintering in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Surviving in addition to her husband James; is her daughter, Carol Williams and friend Fred Harding of Mansfield; granddaughter, Sarah (husband Shane) Fox and their children; great-grandchildren, Keaton, Aiden, Kately, Asher and Job; grandson, Jared Goldsmith and friend Kate and their children; great-grandchildren, Casen and Madelynn and daughter-in-law, Judy Goldsmith of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her son, James (J.J.) Goldsmith, Jr.; sister, Jean Hill and son-in-law, James Williams.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. at the Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, (330) 948-1122. Funeral service will begin at 2 P.M. following the visitation. The Reverend Diane Bell will officiate. Burial will follow at Westfield Center Cemetery.
