Walter L. Koehler, 96, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017. He was born March 21, 1921 in Medina, to the late Max and Anna (nee Reichert) Koehler.
Walter enjoyed music, dancing and seeing family and friends. He loved cars, flowers and animals, especially dogs. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in WWII and worked for U.S. Steel for 27 years.
Walter is survived by his loving children, Sandra (Thomas) Hofmann of Gahanna, Ohio and Gary (Cindy) Koehler of Perrysburg, Ohio; dear grandfather of Shelley (Keith) Walatka, Debby (Zach) Skidmore, Brian (Bryn) Koehler and Amy Koehler and great-grandfather of seven.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Doris E. Koehler; grandson, Todd Hofmann; sister, Dorothy Nash and twin brother, Fred Koehler.
Services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:30 A.M., at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M., Saturday prior to the service in the funeral home.
