Phyllis E. Kobelt, 98, of Westfield Center, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Wadsworth. She was born January 7, 1919 in Medina, to Willard and Helen (Graham) Leggett.
Phyllis grew up in Chippewa Lake and graduated from Leroy High School in 1936. After graduation, she went to work for Ohio Farmers Insurance as an underwriter. On July 8, 1945, she married Donald C. Kobelt and in 1952 they moved to Westfield Center, where she resided until 2014. Phyllis was a member of Westfield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by sons, Ken (Mary) Kobelt of Geneva, Kurt (Lynne) of Greenville, South Carolina, David (Sara) of Mentor, John (Lory) of Tiffin; grandchildren, Lara Kobelt of Las Vegas, Nevada, Liza (Matt) Severs of Seattle, Washington, Molly Kobelt of Chicago, Illinois, Rachel Kobelt of Denver, Colorado, Katie (Matt) Martig of Delaware, Ohio, Lindsey Kobelt of Columbus, Becca Kobelt of Tiffin; great-grandchildren, Emma and Ellie Martig; niece, Jill Callahan of Lodi; nephews, Jack Leggett of Lodi, Cliff Kobelt of West Salem and cousin, Cynthia Szunyog of Medina.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; brother, Larry Leggett and sister-in-law, Jerri Leggett.
A private funeral service will be held. Interment will be at Westfield Center Cemetery.
