After two years of sobriety, Kenneth Michael Chiesa, 31, went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 6, 2018. He was born August 27, 1986, in Akron, to Donald W. and Kathleen M. (Mollica) Chiesa.
Ken was a breakman for Owens Corning in Medina and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Robbie's Voice Foundation and served on the Board for Robbie's House Recovery Center. Ken was actively involved in Cathy's House and the entire recovery community. Sobriety was one of Ken's greatest accomplishments, he was able to enjoy life as it should be enjoyed, raising his son and riding his motorcycle. Ken's kind heart and selflessness knew no bounds, he never met a stranger and his passion for those who are struggling will be remembered forever.
Ken is survived by his son, Dylan Chiesa; parents, Don and Kathy; brothers, Jackson Chiesa and Douglas Brazile; sisters, Melissa and Brenley Bird; his grandparents and numerous aunts; uncles; cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 and 4 to 6 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina 44256. A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 6 P.M., Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the funeral home, following the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to Robbie's Recovery Center, 538 W. Liberty St., Medina, OH 44256
Following Ken's example, this family hopes that his story and accomplishments will inspire anyone struggling with this disease to please seek help.
