Alice J. Crawford (nee Shick), 78, of Wakeman (formerly of Spencer), passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Kingston of Vermilion, following a short illness. She was born October 19, 1939 in Nankin, Ohio.
She was a 1957 graduate of Elyria High School, majoring in business. Alice took computer classes at the Joint Vocational School and horse judging classes at Ohio State University. She was a bookkeeper for Elyria Graphics, Barber Motors, Innes and Tonry and Elyria Fence. Alice was also a Bus Driver for Midview Schools, retiring after 25 years. She had a great love for horses, cats and dogs.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (Bryan) Weiland of Wakeman; sons, James (Beverly) Anderson, Jr. of Elyria and Michael Gullett of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Niki (John) Higgins, Stacey (David) Jones, Nick and Kevin Schiefelbein; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Zen Fitzgerald; ex-husband, Jim Anderson, Sr.; companion dog, Daisy and six cats at her former home.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Maxton Shick-Hecock; father, Paul H. Shick; brothers, Harold Shick, Leslie Shick and Lowell Shick and stepfather, George Hecock.
There will be no visitation at this time and services will be announced at a later date.
