Lois June Jockisch, 92, of Galion, Ohio and formerly of Lodi, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Magnolia Terrace in Galion. She was born April 1, 1925 in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania to Henry and Irene (Stine) Preston. Her family moved to Cleveland, where she grew up and attended West Tech High School.
She married Ray Jockisch on December 24, 1943 in Cleveland. They later lived in Brunswick and Avon Lake before moving to Lodi in 1977. Lois was a homemaker and a member of Lodi United Methodist Church and the Quilters Guild in Ashland.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna (Mike) Jackson of Mt. Gilead; grandchildren, Seth (Sarah) Jackson of Mt. Gilead, Adam (Samantha) Jackson of Anchorage, Alaska; sister, Jane Konesky of Olmsted Falls and brother, John (Kay) Preston of Columbia Station.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray and sisters, Elizabeth Foutz and Joyce Manney.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Lodi United Methodist Church, 320 Medina St., Lodi. The Reverend Diane Bell will officiate. Inurnment will be in Columbia Township Cemetery, Columbia Station, at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lodi United Methodist Church.
