Joseph J. Lloyd, 83, of Seville, lost his battle to multiple myeloma Saturday, February 3, 2018. Joe passed peacefully at home. He was born in Akron on October 23, 1934, to the late Dan and Rose (Jastrzbeska) Lloyd
He served eight years in the U.S. Navy Reserves, where he was a 2nd Class Petty Officer. Joe had a love for his farm, Lloyd's Little Farm, milking dairy cows until he switched to raising Herefords in the 1990's. He also spent many years as an ambulance driver and fireman for Seville Fire and EMS and retired in 2002 from Guilford Township as the roads supervisor. Joe had also been a school bus driver for Cloverleaf Schools prior to working for Guilford Township.
Joe is survived by his wife, Betty Collins Lloyd, whom he had been married to since 1955; his sons, Daniel W. Lloyd of Seville and Edward (Fonda) Lloyd of Houston, Texas; daughter-in-law, Karen Lloyd of Seville; grandchildren, Daniel J. Lloyd of Wooster, Emily (Andrew) Schmidt of Apple Creek, Ohio and Brody, Brock, Brennen and Jozie Lloyd, all of Seville; six step-grandchildren and his brother, Walt (Corrine) Lloyd of Seville.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert E. Lloyd, whom he can now farm many acres in perfect weather conditions.
There will be no services.
