Theresa Lobban(McCann) of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Medina. Theresa passed away peacefully Saturday, February 10, 2018. She was born in Manchester, England on September 12, 1927, to Patrick and Rose (McParland) McCann. The family moved to Ireland when Theresa was two, where she lived until she went to England to pursue a nursing career. She met her husband Brian while nursing in St. Albans England. In 1970, together with their four boys, they immigrated to a suburb of Chicago, Waukegan, Illinois.
Theresa was a long time member of St. Francis Xavier church of Medina and was very devoted to her faith. She enjoyed travelling, playing cards, reading and watching Tennis. She was also an active member of the British Clubs in the various communities in which she resided.
Theresa is survived by her son, David (Laura Chan) of Seattle, Washington, Kevin (Mary) of Arlington, Texas, Graham (Cindy) of Medina and Don Chambers of Phoenix, Arizona, who was like a son to her; Theresa has five grandchildren, Mary Beth, Kathleen, Erin, Brian and Kevin; two great-grandchildren, Madison and James and a sister, Phyllis of Ballina, Ireland.
Theresa was preceded in death by her eldest son, Tony and her husband, Brian.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1927 S.W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington, TX 76017. There will also be a memorial mass and burial of her ashes in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England at a future date.
