Myron Gene Ulmer, 62, of Valley City, passed away peacefully Friday, March 2, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 29, 1955 in Medina to the late Ted and Dawn (nee Knudsen) Ulmer.
After graduating from Buckeye High School, Myron worked for C.J. White & Son. In 1982, he started his own company, Myron Ulmer Trucking Inc. After logging over three million miles in his career, he retired and spent time at home with his family. Myron enjoyed fishing, camping, watching old movies and was an avid Cleveland Sports fan. Myron was a man who had a heart the size of Texas. He was often known to give nicknames to everyone and everything.
He will be remembered forever by all who knew him as a kind man with a smile and a laugh that would warm your heart. Myron will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all who knew him.
He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Susan (nee Keaton); loving father of Brian (Kyle) Ulmer, Jennifer (Craig) Morton, Lisa (Eric) Ulmer, Alison (T.J.) Hugney; dear grandpa to Dixie, Cameron and Molly; brother of Linda (Jim) Kiesel, Jim (Lynn) Ulmer and Mary (Larry) Petelin and uncle, great uncle and friend to many.
Friends may call at the Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Martin of Tours Church, 1824 Station Rd., Valley City on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11 A.M. Interment will be private.
The family suggests memorial contributions to, St. Martin of Tours Church Building Fund, Valley City or to an offering of the donor's choice.
