Phyllis Ann Linville, 69, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 surrounded by her family and enveloped within their love. She was born on December 15, 1948 in West Virginia to Keith and Margaret Newcomer.
After attending a one-room schoolhouse in Tango, West Virginia and leaving in 1968, she and her soon-to-be-husband, William B. Linville moved to Cleveland. Phyllis and William married on November 29, 1968 and began their life of more than 49 years together, starting and nurturing their family.
Phyllis is survived by her beloved husband, William; children, Rodney L. Linville, Rhonda L. Scarbo, Ranae L. Lewis and Ronald L. Linville; sons-in-law, Richard Scarbo and John E. Lewis; three grandchildren, John W. Lewis, Jordi Summers and Izabella Walker; sisters, Wilma Wade and Penny Young and brothers, John Rose, Earl Newcomer and Terri Newcomer.
Her legacy of unconditional love and empathy for others lives on in all of the members of her family and the many other friends and loved ones whose lives she touched.
The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court Street, Medina. Burial will immediately follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina. The family will welcome friends at her daughter's home after services are completed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray the funeral costs.
