Marilyn Rose Bihn, 83, of Medina, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 6, 2018 with her loving family at her side. Marilyn was born October 10, 1934 in Cleveland to the late Anton and Eleanor (nee Lehky) Pansel. She had resided in Medina County for most of her life.
Marilyn had worked as a typist/filing clerk for the old Cleveland Tank Plant, Cleveland and later in life worked in housekeeping at the former Sophia Huntington Parker Home and Camelot, both in Medina. Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, Bernard Bihn and they shared 52 years of blissful love in life before Bernie passed October 8, 2008.
Marilyn was an active member of St. Martin of Tours. She enjoyed bowling, walking and reading. She actively followed her beloved Cleveland Indians and the Cavaliers. Marilyn was a very devoted mom and grandma to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
She is survived by her children, Christy (Ron) Cook of West Salem, Jackie (Ron) Piotrowski of Homerville, Timothy Bihn of Medina and Todd Bihn (Gerri McDonnell) of Brunswick; grandchildren, Tonia Helton Grabowski, Ryan (Rachelle) Helton and Josh McDonnell; great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Logan Helton, Alex, Avery and Cameron Grabowski; sister, Doris Kovacek of Medina and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son and infant daughter, Connie.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10 A.M., Monday, March 12, 2018 at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City. Calling hours are from 2 to 6 P.M., Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. A committal service will be Monday, March 12, 2018 at 12:45 P.M. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville. A funeral luncheon will be held at 2 P.M., at St. Martin Parish Center, following the interment.
The family suggests memorials, if desired may be made to, St. Martin Building Fund or to Hospice of Medina County.
