James Roland Loew, 87, of Medina Township, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 23, 1930 in Cleveland, he was a son of the late Henry and Ana (Orazem) Loew.

James proudly served our Country with the United States Air Force. He was a member of Holy Martyrs Catholic Church. James worked as an Electronics Technician at NASA Lewis Research Center for 40 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and working out in the yard and garden.

Helen G. Loew, 87, formerly of Medina Township, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, Pennsylvania. She was born June 24, 1930 in Riggsville, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Robiadek) Socolovitch. Helen lived most of her life in Medina and was a 1948 graduate of Pelleston High School.

She was primarily a homemaker and also worked as a cook for the Medina County Achievement Center for 10 years. Helen was a member of Holy Martyrs Catholic Church and its Women's Guild, Medina. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Loew, December 27, 2017; sisters, Virginia Tryban, Dorothy Lee, Martha Wilson, Gertrude Doyle and brothers, Florian and Edward Socolovitch.

James and Helen are survived by their son, Father James H. Loew, O.S.B. of Vandergrift; Helen's sisters, Margie Surabian of Beverly Hills, Michigan, Barbara Kanyo of Almont, Michigan, Ann Albers of Parma and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be concelebrated for both James and Helen on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 12 Noon in Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 Weymouth Road, Medina.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brady-Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Vandergrift, Pennsylvania.
