Gary L. Davis, 44, formerly of Litchfield, went home on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, after succumbing to a short illness, meeting his Lord and Savior and being joined with his mom and into her arms.
Gary was raised as a son and brother and leaves behind his grandparents, Paul and Dorothy Kompier, who raised Gary after his mother's passing. Gary also leaves behind the rest of his family Paul M. Kompier, Cindy (Kompier) Baratko, Patty (Kompier) Powell, Melissa (Kompier) Gant and David Kompier, many cousins who loved him dearly and his three children, Justin, Jordan, Sherece and two grandsons.
Gary was very compassionate about his work. He was owner and operator of Helibound. He made playgrounds safer for children and mastered the art of making landings softer, for helicopters, by laying rubber matting. In his leisure time, he enjoyed reading and passing his novels down for other family members to enjoy then to discuss your thoughts about it. He also enjoyed a quiet afternoon fishing down by the lake when at home. But most of all he enjoyed gathering with family whether with a few or many. Just to be in each other's presence was what he cared about most.
Gary's undying love and concern for his grandparent's well being will be sadly missed, along with his strong loving bear hugs and his "love you" to go with it.
Gary was preceded in death by his mom, Janine M. (Kompier) Davis and father, Ferris Davis.
