Paul Gene Breedlove, 78, of Lodi, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at Hospice of Medina County. He was born April 23, 1940 in Griffithsville, West Virginia, to Harvey and Nellie (Skeens) Breedlove.
Paul moved to Ohio in 1973 and married Neva Jane Lilly on October 19th of that year. They lived in Medina before moving to Lodi in 1976, where he served with the Lodi Police Auxiliary and Lodi Fire Department. Paul was employed by Mack Industries in Valley City for 29 years, retiring in 2001.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work and gardening and was most comfortable when he was driving his truck or riding his lawn mower or just sitting on his porch.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; daughter, Lisa (Jim) Varney of Lodi; grandchildren, Tiffany and Madie; sisters, Mary (Archie Adkins) Egnor of West Virginia, Thelma Huffman of West Virginia and Brenda Mullins of Cleveland; brothers, Larry (Barb) Breedlove of West Virginia, Raymond Breedlove of West Virginia and Roger Breedlove of Virginia and childhood best friend, Denver Moore of West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Darrell; granddaughter, Kimberly Lynn Varney; brothers, Bobby and Curt Breedlove; stepfather, Ed Roberts and in-laws, John and Boots Lilly.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11 A.M. at Victory Baptist Church, 8343 Harris Rd., Lodi. Pastor Joe Williams will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, July 23, 2018 from 7 to 9 P.M. at The Parker Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
