Steven W. Naylor

Steven W. Naylor, 57, formerly of Litchfield, passed away July 18, 2018 in Henderson, Nevada. Steve resided in Litchfield until 2008, then moved to Henderson, Nevada. In 2010, he met the love of his life Hazel, they were married in 2013.

Steve was a 1979 graduate of Buckeye High School. He had worked at former Smucker Pickle Plant, Medina, Invacare, Elyria, Miller Cab, Wooster and David Neely, Attorney at Law in Hendeson, Nevada.

He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, whether going to dinner, watching a movie or reminiscing about the old times and memories made. When he would get together with his buddies, Bill Scandlon, Steve Tucker and Wayne Wolfe, they had many stories and great memories. He was an avid card player and enjoyed playing with dear friends Mitch and Linda.

He spent many days and nights fishing at local lakes. He especially loved outings spent with his Uncle Mike. He loved to travel with his friend of more than 30 years, Dave Neely. Steve enjoyed attending Formula One races and he loved his Cleveland sports teams. His love for country bluegrass and gospel music brought him to connect with many musicians. He had a close bond with Neal McCoy and the Oak Ridge Boys.

Steve will be greatly missed by his wife, Hazel and his four- legged children, Boxer and Jetta; brother, Robert (Tammy) Naylor of Columbia, Maryland; sister, Kim Naylor of Litchfield; nieces, Jaimee, Julie and Rebecca; in-laws, Alexander and Vilma Maambong of Philippines and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth "Bus" and Dorley "Joann" (nee Haney) Naylor.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 5 to 8 P.M. at The Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. Funeral service will be 11 A.M., Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Litchfield Baptist Church, 4022 Avon Lake Road, Litchfield. Pastors John Smith and Greg Rowan will officiate. Burial in Litchfield Township Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested if desired to be made to the family to help defray the final expenses incurred.
