Bev Fry, 66, of York Township, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, July 29, 2018. She was born November 20, 1951 to Floyd and Ruth Echle.
Bev was a lifelong public servant. She served as Treasurer for the Keystone Local Schools in LaGrange. She also served as the Fiscal Officer for York Township and a Fair Director for Medina County Fair for several decades.
Bev's greatest joy was being a grandma and was often seen at any event involving her grandchildren. She spent her life tending to the family homestead and she enjoyed working outdoors and scrapbooking. Bev enjoyed many trips with friends and family.
Bev is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dan Fry; children, Jason and Shannon Thome and Jenny and Mike Knapp; grandchildren, Trevor and Tayla Thome and Jacob and Jayson Knapp; sisters, Carol Pusch and Mary Reynolds; brother, Eddie Echle; many nieces and nephews, also surviving very dear to Bev's heart are Jean Glasgow and Nita Kovacek.
She was preceded in death by her parents and special aunt, Alverta Moehle.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 2 to 7 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church Gathering Area, 2233 Abbeyville Road, Valley City (please note detour - enter from the North onto Abbeyville Road from Columbia Road). Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 P.M., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City (family and friends are asked to meet at the church). Interment at York Township Cemetery.
