Ricky L. Cavallaro, 63, of Lodi, passed away unexpectedly at his home Thursday, August 23, 2018. He was born December 11, 1954 in Leslie, West Virginia to Vincent and Opal (Henson) Cavallaro.
His family moved to the Lodi area where he grew up and graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 1973. Following high school he attended Pittsburgh Institute of Art. Rick was employed at Hausted Manufacturing in Medina for over 20 years and later worked at Sealey Mattress.
He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and cutting firewood. He played in local baseball and softball leagues and followed the Indians, Browns, Ohio State football and NASCAR.
Surviving are his daughters, Andrea (Dave) Hoff of Lodi and Stacy (Jon) Stuchal of Medina; grandchildren, Saige, Skylar, Colin, Rosalin, Logan and Connor; mother, Opal of Lodi; sister, Janet (Walter) Lijana of Elyria; brother, Danny (Margaret) Cavallaro of Seville; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent; brother, Larry and nephew, Jason Knoch.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1 P.M. in Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Lodi American Legion Hall. Arrangements are being handled by Parker Funeral Home, Lodi.
