Alma Ruth Kitts, 85, of Lodi, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at University Hospital in Cleveland, after a brief illness. Alma was born May 26, 1933 in New Port, Tennessee, to the late Roy G. and Helen (Clevenger) Gregg.
She married Elwood Kitts on June 29, 1951. He survives. She had made her home in Lodi for the past 27 years, having previously resided in North Ridgeville and attended Canaan Free Will Baptist Church in Creston. Alma enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, canning and crocheting, but her greatest enjoyment was always her family.
Surviving are her husband, Elwood; daughters, Deborah (William) Polk of Millbury, Judy Kitts of Parma and Sharon (Chris) Arndt of Sidney; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Mirvene Hyre, Maxene Ashby, Roy Gregg Jr., Tom Gregg and Patricia Gerchalk.
Services will be Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church, 12723 Cleveland Rd., Creston with Pastor Mike Gladson officiating. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 A.M. until time of services Monday, at the church.
