Paul E. Grubbs, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at his home in Medina. He was born June 6, 1936 in Cambridge, Ohio, to the late Charles E. and Evelyn J. (Stewart) Grubbs, Sr.
He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1954 and then went on to Harding College, where he graduated with a degree in Biology in 1958. He later received his Master's degree from The Ohio State University. After graduation Paul taught in Uhrichsville, Ohio and then later as a biology teacher at Nordonia High School, totaling 40 years.
A faithful member of the Church of Christ, he had taught many adult Bible classes and actively participated in worship services. He will be remembered as a Christian servant, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and peacemaker.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Shirley; daughters, Melinda (Steve) Cibula, Rhonda (Clay) Perkins and Diane (Matthew) Whitelaw; grandchildren, Sophie and Chloe Cibula, Carrie, Amber and Lane Perkins and Carter, Owen and Clara Whitelaw; brother, Charles E. Grubbs, Jr.; sister, Marlene (Ken) Pittman; mother-in-law, Gladys Mosher; sister-in-law, Rose Mary Krueger and nephews, Ken Pittman, Jr. and Matt (Kelley) Pittman, Paul (Kelli) Krueger, Brad (Anne) Krueger and Sarah (Wes) Showers.
He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, where the family will receive friends Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 1 to 5 P.M. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery.
