Deborah Jane Connelly was lovingly taking home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 21, 2019. Although her earthly journey is over, her incredible Heavenly Journey has just begun.
Debbie's life was one of giving. She loved to share herself with those whose lives she touched. This was especially evident during her 30 years of service at Veteran's Services. She was delighted in finding just the right something to add sparkle to the eyes of her cherished granddaughters, Janie and Addie. She also had a talent for listening closely as you spoke, so she would know just what mattered most to you and then acted on that knowledge.
Debbie followed in the footsteps of her grandmother, as she crocheted afghans, baby blankets and assorted items to celebrate the special moments in the lives of those she loved. She was also a pretty talented cookie baker, surprising folks on their birthdays with yummy treats to make them smile. The greatest joy of Debbie's life was her family. Each and every member was precious to her.
She was so very proud of her daughter, Jennifer Connelly; as well as her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Denise Connelly; her grandchildren, Janie and Addie, were always a welcome topic for discussion. She loved them so very much! Her sister, Lorie Glaisa will always remember realizing the special bond that sisters have that grew even deeper as the years went by. Not to be forgotten as part of her family, is her sweet little kitty, Pearl. Pearl was always there for Debbie and she brightened the day for quite a number of visitors as well.
Debbie was preceded in death by her loving father and mother, Edward and Jane, with who she is now joyously reunited along with grandmas, grandpas and neighbors and friends, with who she shared her life.
A visitation will be Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 5 to 7 P.M., at the Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court Street, Medina. Services will be held at Granger United Methodist Church, 1235 Granger Rd., Medina, at 11 A.M. on Friday, January 25, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Granger United Methodist Church.
