David W. Brower, 69, of Medina, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family, after his two year battle with lung cancer. David was born July 13, 1949 in Canton, to Oliver W. and Fay Brower. David graduated from Marlington High School in 1967.
He then entered the U.S. Army in 1969 and was stationed in Germany. David was a retired police officer of Lake Milton Police Department. He also worked many years with Stark County District Library as a security officer. He was also a member of the Alliance Police Reserves Unit.
David is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; children, Christy of Alliance, Ohio and Jason (Kim) of Texas; stepdaughter, Heather (Mike) of Barberton; four granddaughters, Aviana, Lyrical and Journee of Alliance and Jojo of Texas; brother, Paul (Lisa) of Florida; many aunts and uncles and special friends, Jerry and Carla Hart.
A special thanks to his caregivers, Merrily and Jeanne and to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial to honor David's life will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1 P.M. at Lighthouse Baptist Fellowship, 5301 Chippewa Road, Medina with The Reverend Jerry Hart officiating.
