Mary Lou Schwarz (nee Abel), 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 6, 2019. Mary Lou was born June 3, 1941 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey and graduated from Phillipsburg High School. She is survived by her husband, George J. Schwarz of 58 years. After moving several times, in 1978 they decided to make Medina their home.
Together with her husband, George, they ran a successful business for many years servicing the local rubber industry. Always a dedicated fan she spent many hours attending her kids and later grandchildren's sporting events which kept her very busy. If Ohio State was playing a football game she made sure to have her Ohio State spirit wear on that day. She always looked forward to family gatherings and bringing her special recipes for all to enjoy.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Raymond Schwarz (Lori) of Medina, Anne Bryson (Lance) of Wadsworth and Jeffrey (Christine) Schwarz of Ponte Vedra, Florida and her 10 grandchildren.
As a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Medina, a Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at 11 a.m. followed by lunch for family and friends in the Xavier Room, 612 E. Washington Street (Rt. 18), Medina.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall, Medina, OH 44256.
