Nancy J. Burr, 88, of Brunswick, entered her Heavenly Home Thursday, April 11, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born February 20, 1931 in Kathryn, West Virginia, to the late Edward and Laura (nee Moore) Worlledge. She has resided in Brunswick for 62 years.
Nancy was an active member of the 1st Baptist Church of Brunswick, where she served as pianist, soloist, taught Sunday School, was a member on the Mission Committee and served in many other positions. Nancy was well known as the "Avon Lady" for 40 years. For her enjoyment, she loved to crochet, work on quilts and was well known for her cooking. Nancy took great pride and abundant love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James, married in 1951; daughters, Judy (Charlie) Gosnell, Karen (William) Amacher and Joy (Glen) Jones; grandchildren, Melanie (Aaron) Stroup, Brandon (Rachel) Gosnell, Rebecca Amacher and Derrick Jones; great-grandchildren, Leah, Emma and Anna Stroup, Reed and Maeve Gosnell and sister, Loretta Henderson.
She was preceded in death by sister, Sue Lewis; brother, Joe Worlledge and infant brother.
Friends may call Monday, April 15, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Private family burial will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the 1st Baptist Church of Brunswick Mission Fund, the Gideons or Southwest Hospice.
