Lillian E. Wolff, 96, of Medina, was greeted with a host of Angels Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the pearly gates of Heaven. Lillian was born May 13, 1922 in Cleveland, to the late Edmund and Anna (nee Baker) Gunkelman. She had been a lifelong resident of Medina County.
Lillian assisted her husband on their farm before Harold and his brother opened a wholesale plumbing business in 1965. Lillian worked as the secretary/treasurer of Wolff Bros Supply for many years. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Always sharing a jar of raspberry jam or loaf of bread with anyone she met.
Lillian devoted her life to her church, Zion Lutheran Church, Valley City and family. She was very active in ladies bible study and she sang in the choir for many years. Lillian was a great seamstress and made many beautiful quilts for her family and friends. In the summer, she enjoyed planting and working in her garden always sharing her produce with everyone. She touched many lives and will be remembered dearly by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
She is survived by her children, Irene (Richard) Hill, Howard (Kristine), Barbara (George) Lewis, George (Donna), Kenneth (Barbara), Theodore (Dona); 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Regina Crocker and Maxine Kornmayer and two little bundles on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold H. Wolff; daughter, Lois Ann; grandchild, Daniel Wolff and sister, Hazel Bauer.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 in the gathering area of Zion Lutheran Church, 2233 Abbeyville Rd., Valley City. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Zion's. Pastor Jim Watson will be officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Valley City.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
