Marcia Swain, 69, of Seville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Hospice of Medina County, surrounded by her loving family, following an 11-month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born November 27, 1949 in Medina Hospital to Dale and Joan (Carrier) Kratzer.
Marcia graduated from Black River High School and lived most of her life in Medina County.
She enjoyed watching her grandkids ball games and traveling to Florida to spend winter months with friends. She also loved tending to her many flower beds at home.
She was the loving wife of Clyde for 49 years; dear mother of sons, Mark (Ann) Hawley of Jeromesville, Matthew (Tonya) Swain of Seville, Lee (Melissa) Swain of West Salem; dear grandmother to Erica (John) Lipaj, Ty and Cade Hawley, Hannah, Brooke and Grant Swain, Kelsey Kray and Nick Letterly; great-grandmother to Eliza Lipaj and Caden and Chloe Lance; dearest sister to Jim (Ana) Kratzer of Mansfield, John (Pam) Kratzer of Wisconsin, Jenny (Dave) Knopf of Columbia Station; stepsister to Linda, Debbie and Brenda, dear niece to Kathleen Hastings, aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and lastly, she was "mom" to her boys, Yorkies Charlie and Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert and stepmother, Mona.
A Celebration of Marica's Life will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Lodi American Legion.
