Clara "Louise" Spigler

Clara "Louise" Spigler, 88, passed away quietly at 8:44 p.m., Wednesday, June 5th, 2019 at Chaska Heights Senior Living in Chaska, Minnesota. Louise was born April 3rd, 1931 in Hagerstown, Maryland. She was the daughter of George Albert and Mary Nellie (Pierce) Socks of Hagerstown, Maryland.

Louise was married on October 17th, 1953 to her loving husband, Warren Dick Spigler. Warren and Louise celebrated 65 years of married life together. Louise worked as a teacher's aide at Winter Street School for three years. The rest of her life was spent as a devoted wife and mother to her three daughters.

Louise worked tirelessly for the Washington County Blood Mobile while living in Hagerstown. Her talent for counted cross stitch was unmatched. Louise and Warren grew up and lived in Hagerstown, Maryland. They also resided in Knoxville, Tennessee, Saint Louis, Missouri and Shawnee, Kansas. Prior to their move to Minnesota in 2016, they resided in Medina for 28 years.

Louise loved to sit on the swing and look out over their pond and watch the wildlife around her. She and Warren loved their drives to Amish Country where they would enjoy a favorite Amish meal at least two days a week. Louise was the most happy when surrounded by her family. She was lovingly devoted to her grandchildren. The love she had for her husband Warren is unmeasurable. Louise was a very strong, supportive, caring and loving wife and mother. Her husband, family and loved ones will miss her greatly.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, George Albert and Mary Nellie (Pierce) Socks and infant brothers, Terry, Gary and Ralph.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Dick Spigler of Chaska, Minnesota; daughters, Cindy (Michael) Okeefe of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sheri (Mark) Gahl of Minnetrista, Minnesota and Kathy (Richard) Wagner of LeMars, Iowa; she had seven grandchildren, Erik, Samantha, Patrick, Nick, Chloe Wagner and Cory Grieb and Zachary Gahl and five great-grandchildren, Peter, Karli, Olivia, Henry and Zoe.

Louise was cremated and will be placed at rest with her husband, Warren at the time of his passing at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown, Maryland. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, June 19th, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Chaska Heights Senior Living, 3120 Chestnut Street, Chaska, MN 55318.
