Nancy M. Collins, 82, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019. She was born in Englewood, New Jersey on July 13, 1936, to the late John T. and Caroline Mahon.
Nancy was involved with a variety of activities including coaching, synchronized swimming at Rustic Hills Country Club, secretary to her late husband's business and ski patrol and riding in her younger years. Nancy was generous with her time and resources, enjoyed spending time with friends and traveling and appreciated a good joke and a single malt scotch.
Nancy was an expert at breeding and raising exotic wild waterfowl for the International Wild Waterfowl Association, where she served as secretary for many years, she accomplished raising the first ruddy ducks in captivity and paved the way for others to do so. Prior to her death, she raised swans and rare breeds of geese and ducks at her home in Medina. She was the most amazing mom, wife, Mum-mum and friend to many and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kathy; daughter, Linda; grandchildren, Sydney, AJ and Max Salerno.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Richard H. Collins and parents.
The family will receive friends at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court Street, Medina on Thursday, June 27, 2019, beginning at 3 p.m. with a service following at 4:30 p.m. to celebrate her life. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank the many care givers of Visiting Angels and Homewatch, as well as Hospice of Medina County.
